Breathless


Rodney raced into the training room, completely out of breath. He bent over, gasping.

“Colonel Sheppard. Thank God I found you.” He pinched his side.

Sheppard wiped the sweat off his brow with the back of his wristband. He took a deep breath and scrunched his eyebrows. “Rodney, what's wrong?” He pulled off his wristbands and threw them into his bag.

Rodney stood straight up; he exhaled and his mouth pulled into a frown. “Something absolutely-positively-terrible has happened.”

Sheppard snapped to attention. “What?” His mind was racing, mentally cataloguing all the off-world teams, thinking back over where Teyla, Ronan, and Weir were supposed to be.

Rodney filled his lungs, obviously getting ready to drop a bomb.

“Em forgot Thoz's birthday.”

Sheppard blinked. He blinked again.

Rodney stepped up to Sheppard, placing a hand on each shoulder. Sheppard felt Rodney's breath on his face. it smelled like apples.

Rodney's eyes flicked down for a second. “You understand what this means, right?”

Sheppard licked his lips, slowly nodding.

“I'll get the jell-o, you get the chocolate syrup. Meet me in my quarters in 10 minutes.” Sheppard grabbed his bag and headed out the door. He turned back around and pointed at Rodney. “And have Carson call Thoz, will you?”

Rodney grinned and then ran off to see Carson. He was looking forward to getting breathless.

When I was in Berlin, I came across a shop that sold fluffy ones... you can't buy those on the Isle of Wight...

My friend gave me a horrifoied look when I picked up pink and black ones then dragged me out of the shop. Without them.
